We support small business owners, entrepreneurs, inventors, and anyone with a business idea. Offering insights and access to free business and IP resources, training and events both online and in person, we are here to help you start or develop a successful business.
In the Reading Room our team can provide advice on protecting your intellectual property, or guide you through turning your business idea into a reality.

Our collection is also used for business and IP researchers. The BIPC is your point of call if you wish to access the British Library’s extensive collection of British and overseas intellectual property documentation, dating all the way back to 1617.
